Linkshell Rule Structure

Shell-holder: Padan

Co-leader: Radix

Officers: Vanfrog, Grady, Leferich, Jediarchangel, Haseoz and Sojex

Each Officer is responsible for the following jobs. As a Job Officer, they will be held responsible for the performance of all linkshell members present on that given job at any given event. All linkshell members should first forward questions about their job to their Job Officer, and then to then to Co-Leaders as needed.

Vanfrog: Scholar and Monk

Grady: Thief, Ranger and Dancer

Leferich: Beastmaster, Dark Knight and Samurai

Jediarchangel: Blue Mage and Dragoon

Haseoz: White Mage and Summoner

Sojex: Bard and Corsair

Padan: Black Mage and Puppetmaster

Radix: Paladin, Ninja, Red Mage, and Warrior

Main Job / Secondary Job: All Linkshell members are required to set a main job and secondary job on the forums in the “Job” thread. A player’s main job and secondary job selections are required to meet the specifications outlined below. Main/Secondary job selections will directly affect what gear/loot players are allowed to lot on. Players are only allowed to modify their Main/Secondary job once every three months. A player’s main/secondary job, in addition to the specifics outlined below, are expected to always maintain a good buffer, have all current spells (mages) and weaponskills (DDs,) as well as keeping all skill levels capped and merited.

The following is expected to be true of all jobs designated by a player as Main or Secondary.

Red Mage: DRK , BLM and WHM available as subs, 8/8 Enfeebling Merits, Paralyze II, Slow II, Phalanx II, Bio/Dia III – Refresh II

Black Mage: RDM available as a sub, 8/8 Elemental Magic Skill Merits, Burst II, Freeze II

Thief: Feint Merits

Dragoon: Angon Merits

White Mage: Protectra V, Shellra V, Devotion Merits

Bard: Nightingale, Troubadour

Samurai: Shikiyoyu Merited

Ninja: WAR and DRK available as subs

Paladin: WAR and NIN available as subs, Chivalry, Shield skill Merits

Beast Master: Beast Affinity Merits

Linkshell Designated Job: The linkshell reserves the right to assign players a third job to which they will be able to bid on loot for at linkshell events. This job is chosen by the Linkshell Leaders and a group of Officers and will typically be a job a linkshell member is often called upon to attend events as. (For example, Optimus Prime sets his main job as Paladin, and his secondary job as Warrior. The linkshell will assign him an LS job of White Mage, as he is often requested at events as this job.) A player’s linkshell job should be merited/buffered but will not be held to the specifications outlined above for main/secondary jobs. Linkshell Leaders reserve the right to change a player’s Linkshell job at any time a need may call for it.

Reraise is expected by all jobs, whether it is casted or item based. All jobs unable to self-cast must have an item present with them at all linkshell events. In the event of a linkshell member not having reraise, raise 1’s will be provided at the mage’s convenience. Raise II and III will be provided at the end of events and as recast timers/event time allows. Failure to bring and use reraise for three consecutive events will result in a DKP reduction of 2pt per incident at the discretion of the Co-leaders.

Echo-drops are expected by all mages, NIN and /nin at every linkshell event.

Oils, powders, tonko and sanjaku-tenugui are required at every linkshell event requiring it (Abyssea/Sky, ect.)

Food is required for all jobs applicable to their roll. (Sushi/Meat/Pies/Cookies.)

Poison Potions are required by all jobs for major boss fights (AKA Dynamis Lord;) and will only be provided by the Linkshell in income surplus situations.

AFK: Due to the long, drawn out nature of some events (such as Dynamis,) there will be situations where a player will be required to AFK to take care of children, get food, use the restroom – ect. In these events players are expected to use the /away tool in the game. However, excessive AFK at any given event will result in a player being asked to leave the event. If a player continuously AFKs during an event without A. Warning or B. Use of the /away command, their DKP for that event will be revoked.

Attendance: Time put in equals the reward you get in the shell. Players will always be wanted and needed for every event. Life will always take precedence over any events, however should a player be absent from events for more than 1 week their ability to bid on gear will be suspended for 1 week until solid attendance is proven again. The suspension period will be discussed with a player upon their return to the game by a Linkshell Leader. And above all else, show up on time.

Should a player be found at any time to be deliberately dodging events by either removing their linkpearl or “fake AFKing” they will be given 1 warning. After that, any subsequent event dodging will result in the player being removed from the linkshell with or without warning.

Event Job Call: Each event is approached in different ways. For this reason, please wait for a job to be assigned to you before gathering at the event meeting location. Event jobs will be assigned by the Officer running the event or the Co-Leader present. Job call will begin 15 minutes prior to the onset of event time. Failure to adhere to your requested job will result in a player being asked to leave the event and a loss of all DKP from that event.

Loot Rules: All events adhere to the DKP system. Simply put, players will receive a predetermined number of points for their attendance at events. Generally speaking, players will be given the opportunity to bid on all gear that drops. Bid takers (officers accepting item bids) will be announced prior to the beginning of open bidding, as well as the open bid time frame and any minimum requirements for gear being bid on. Once the open bid session ends, the Officer will call out the highest bidder and that player will be allowed to lot the loot in the treasure pool. At no time will an item be allowed to be bid on for the sole purpose of selling on the auction house. Any players found to be selling bid-for items on the auction house are subject to immediate removal from the linkshell at the Leader’s discretion.

The hierarchy system for loot assignment is this: Main jobs takes precedence over secondary jobs; and secondary jobs over linkshell jobs. (For example, if a Mavi Scarf drops, all Blue Mage mains will be allowed to bid first. If no BLU mains are present or want to bid, then BLU secondary jobs are given a chance to bid. If no BLU secondary jobs wish to bid the bidding moves to linkshell job and finally to free bid.) The only time these rules do not apply is during dynamis and limbus. Please see below for event specific loot rules.

Players will not receive any DKP for failed events. (For example, not killing Apocolyptic Beast in Dynamis Buburimu is considered a failed event.) Alternatively, players may receive bonus DKP for exceptional performance at an event. (For example, stunning an avatar that just woke up, preventing Astral Flow damage from wiping the group.) Linkshell leadership will vote on any awarded bonus DKP.

Note: Players may not give their points to other players for any reason.

Ventrilo: Players are not required but strongly encouraged to take advantage of the Linkshell’s ventrilo server at all events. Please talk to an Officer for Vent information.

Conduct: The linkshell wants all players to enjoy and have fun at all events. However, we expect players to always be alert and paying attention at all times they are not AFK. General slacking/not paying attention will not be tolerated and will be handled on a case by case basis by the Linkshell Leaders. Also, players are expected to treat all other players in or outside the Linkshell with respect. You represent the Linkshell as a whole when you are out and about in Vana’diel. Also, please try to keep cursing and other disrespectful language and subjects out of the linkshell chat and Ventrilo. Many of the linkshell members have young children and probably don’t need to hear/see adult language by accident.

Performance: Players are expected to be “on their A game” at every event. As a low-man linkshell, we cannot afford for players to not bring their talent each and every event. In order to succeed, each player must come ready to every event with knowledge of the event, whether or not they’ve been there before. Members are encouraged to seek out answers to questions prior to the event by utilizing the many online data resources available or simply by asking someone in the linkshell.

Furthermore, players are required to pay attention at all times to the linkshell/party chat. Often times the answer to your questions may be found by simply reading. To that end, if a player is found to either be deliberately not reading the chat or listening to vent, they will be given 1 warning. If the behavior continues they will be asked to leave the event and put on a one week trial period. During this time they will not be allowed to bid/lot on any gear. If the player’s behavior continues, they will be dismissed from the linkshell.

Going into the negative
You are only allowed to go into the negative if you are lotting +2 gear for your main or secondary job. There is a penalty that will be two additional points added to the total already.

Event Specific Information:

Dynamis

Facilitating Officer: Padan

Expectations: Players are expected to follow the designated main assist at all times and pay 100% attention to the officers running the event. While dynamis can be long and tedious, players must be sure to maintain attention to the alliance movements as they can be sudden and fast paced. Players not paying attention will lead to wipes which will cause us to waste time. Subsequently, the main and backup assist will be announced at the beginning of the event. Players found to either be A. Ignoring the Main Assist or B. Generally goofing off and not paying attention with be given 1 warning; and if the behavior continues will be asked to leave the event or D2’d resulting in a player’s complete loss of DKP for the event.

Dynamis Specific Loot Rules:

City: Any artifact armor that drops is lottable by Search Comment. Search Comment jobs can only be set for 75+ jobs. Players are given up to 5 minutes before event start time to set their Search Comment Job until the set is locked and players can not change/add their SeaCom job. Any players caught altering their SeaCom job in the middle of an event are subject to immediate removal from the event and loss of DKP for the event.

If there are no players present with a specific Artifact Armor in their SeaCom, the AF will be called to all players at level 75+. If no one lots, then any players 65+ may lot, moving down to 55+. If no players currently in zone chose to lot on the AF at this point, the gear is no longer eligible to lot on and must be allowed to fall. Players may only lot when their job level range is called.

Northlands/CoP: Northland and CoP (-1 and Accessory items) are lotted on by SeaCom only. -1 Artifact Armor is only available to SeaCom by players who have the corresponding Northland’s drop (IE: Must have Duelist’s Chapeau to SeaCom Duelist’s Chapeau -1.) In the event of two or more players designating the same piece of gear, a comity consisting of 3 Officers and 3 Regular Members will vote on the order of players who will receive the items. When a piece of contested relic gear drops into the treasure pool, the Facilitating Officer will call the player who is allowed to lot. Any normal city artifact armor that drops in CoP Dynamis zones are lottable by SeaCom only following the City specific loot rules.

EXP Scrolls: Lottable by Tanks, Sleepers, mages and pullers.

Synthesis Materials: Lottable by SeaCom only. Synthesis Materials takes the place of AF designation. A player may never lot both on the same run.

Relic Weapons: Contact the Linkshell Leaders for more information regarding linkshell sponsored relic weapons.

Sea

Facilitating Officer: Radix

Expectations: Players are expected to know their way around within the Palace and Garden and be aware of the outside pop zones for all NMs. Players are also expected to have a general idea of all boss fights. Players may also be frequently asked to change jobs to better enable the shell to kill specific NMs and players are asked to be flexible with the needs of the shell.

Sea Specific Loot Rules: Weapons and Organs are free-lot usable to any player present at an event. They do not cost any DKP. Torques and capes follow the general loot rules.

Sky

Facilitating Officer: Vanfrog

Expectations: Players are expected to know their way around within the Palace and have a general idea of where all of the NMs spawn. Players are also asked to have general knowledge of all NM/God fights. Sky warp is recommended, but not required. Players are also asked to have plentiful forms of sneak (tools/oils) available, including mage jobs, as many monsters in sky agro to magic.

Sky Specific Loot Rules:

Linkshell Runs: All money items are gathered by the Facilitating Officer for the linkshell bank. All abjurations/god items follow the standard loot rules. All weapons/food abjurations are free lot usable.

Sponsored Runs: Sponsored runs are when the linkshell “mercenary” kills a god for linkshell members who have independently farmed their own boss pop items. During these sponsored runs, the player providing the pop items may lot on 1 item from the treasure pool. Any money items go to the Linkshell, with the remaining items falling under normal loot rules for players.

Einherjar

Facilitating Officer: Grady

Expectations: All linkshell members are expected to have Einherjar access. Also, all linkshell members are expected to know the majority of fights prior to entering the chamber. Einherjar is extremely face-paced and trying to explain fights on the fly is time consuming. Players also must bring with them any meds necessarily to alleviate specific status effects (poison/blind/curse) as mages will be too busy curing/crowd controlling to tend to all DD with the status down spams many monsters do in Einherjar.

Players are also required to follow the specific direction from the Facilitating Officer. Failure to do so, especially failure to listen and causing a wipe (Such as remaining in the middle of the chamber during a boss spawn) will result in the player being held to the linkshell’s performance disciplinary actions.

Einherjar Specific Loot Rules: Any money items in the pool are free lot if worth less than 50k in the auction house. This determination will be made by the Facilitating Officer / Linkshell leader. Any items over 50k will be lotted by the Facilitating Officer for the linkshell bank.

All abjurations are bid on, following general loot rules.

Limbus

Facilitating Officer: Padan

Expectations: All linkshell members are expected to have Limbus access. Players are also expected to be able to afford the 15k entry fee (the cost of the Cosmo Cleanse) and to be on time to the gather location. As with all other events, players are expected to know how each floor is run prior to entry.

Limbus Specific Loot Rules: AF +1 items are lottable by SeaCom only. Players must have the job at 75+ in order to SeaCom any AF+1 items. Ancient Beast Coins are gathered by the Facilitating Officer and divided evenly by all players in attendance to the run, with any remainders being randomed for.

Boss runs (Ultima and Omega) are bid for only. Bids will be taken for all pieces of gear prior to the beginning of the fight. Players may only bid on one piece of boss gear. In the event of an item dropping that has not been bid on, the Facilitating Officer will open bids to all members present.

Abyssea

Facilitating Officer: Leferich

Expectations: All members are required to have a minimum of 4 stones (total of 120m) for each Linkshell Abyssea run. Scheduled linkshell Abyssea runs will alternate with two runs one week, one run the second week to allow players to build stones and time. Players are strongly encouraged to have their stones down to 12hr and to be able to hold four stones. Players are also strongly encouraged to have all confluxes in each zone. The more confluxes we have as a group, the faster we can transport from area to area when hunting NMs.

Since time is such a precious commodity in Abyssea, players are requested to keep AFK to a minimum and to pay 100% attention to all movements by the alliance and all chat/vent information. Players who are found off doing their own thing apart from the group during the linkshell event time will be asked to leave the event, resulting in the player’s loss of all DKP for the event.

Abyssea Specific Loot Rules: All Abyssea NM drops follow the standard linkshell loot rules. In the event of no player bidding on auction houseable gear, the gear will be collected for the linkshell bank. All job-specific seals (head/leg/feet) and JSE gear strictly follow the hierarchy system.

Any boss pop items that drop during a linkshell run are collected to be used by the linkshell by the Facilitating Officer or Linkshell Leadership.

VNM/ZNM

Facilitating Officer: Haseoz

Expectations: Players are expected to have a general idea of most NM fights. In the event of ZNM mega boss fights (Khimera, Cerberus and Hydra fights) players are expected to have enough zeni to be able to purchase the pass to enter the island on which they spawn.

VNM/ZNM specific Loot Rules: Given the unique nature of VNM/ZNM, the player who has provided the NM pop will be given priority lot over the rest of the linkshell. The player may select 1 piece of gear or the max number of trial weapon upgrades from the treasure pool. The player may not lot both. (IE: Krabkatoa drops two Krabkatoa Shells and a Karka Ring. The player who popped Krabkatoa may lot either both shells or the ring, but not both.) Any gear that is not lot on by the NM spawner may either be free lot usable by the shell or bid for. The Facilitating Officer will specify prior to the NM’s death whether or not any potential gear will be bid or freelot.

All money items less than 50k on the auction house will be free lot by all members present. Any money items greater than 50k will be gathered by the Facilitating Officer for the bank.

KS99

Facilitating Officer: Jediarchangel

Expectations: All linkshell members are expected to know each fight, as there are only three. Players are required to pay complete attention to each fight and try not to excessively AFK between battlegrounds.

KS99 Specific Loot Rules: The orb holder for each battleground may lot 1 item from the treasure pool at their discretion. The linkshell will then lot 1 item for the linkshell bank. The remaining treasure in the pool is free lot to all members present for the fight. The orb holder may designate someone to take their 1 item. (IE: On Charlie Brown’s orb a Wyrm Beard drops. In lieu of Charlie Brown lotting anything, he lets Snoopy take the Wyrm Beard.)

In the event of a Black Belt item (Wyrm Beard, Behemoth Tongue, Adamantoise Egg) not being taken by the orb holder, the item may be bid on by any members present with monk leveled to 75+.

Notes: Should a player with an orb be present but due to time/man power restraints we are unable to use that player’s orb, they will take priority over any orb holders the next run of linkshell KS99s.

Behemoth V2 / Ouyru

Facilitating Officer: Padan

Expectations: Players are expected to have access to both battle grounds and knowledge of both fights.

Behemoth V2 / Ouryu Specific Loot Rules: All gear follows the general linkshell loot rules. Bahamut’s staff/mask follow the specific hierarchy (SMN mains take priority over other players with summoner leveled.) All money items are collected by the Facilitating Officer for the linkshell bank.
