http://wilddragonchase.blogspot.com/2011/05/ffxi-voidwatch-part-i.htmlOkay As stated in the Awesome Link posted Above.
You will get a a great idea of how this works with drops and atmacite and everything. Now What we have figured out since i first wrote this is actually interesting. I will Share some of our findings. Okay here it goes I wont be updating the old info because it is still Very useful even though it was written for the first night we tried it.
Okay what works for us you have to think old school.
Pld tank Whm Support and DD's that can cover lots of proc;s.
Pld tank sits up front uses voke to get a proc message if we dont like it he shield bashes to change it if we do like it they hold the mob don't do any action on the mob whatsoever. Until you have tried the proc that was mentioned. If the message changes call it out and let the person that needs to know what it is so they can proc. Repeat this process until you have your lights where you want them. What we have found out that works is that magic procs effect blue and red but not white while Ja Ws procs effect white. We could be wrong but seems to be the case. Also not all mobs give white either this has been proven for us also. When the fight is at about 10-15 mins or so we will blitz the mob down. Unless our lights are where we want them IE White is 175+ blue red 300+.
For Now this is just Random stuff i have been finding it will become more elaborate as we go on.
Atma cites and basic infoThe way it looks now Each city has its corresponding area that requires a specific abysite to it. For example Windy Has the jade abysite. This allows you to enter the starter area of the windy side once it Grows in a similar fashion to Vnm's you progress on to the new area. That being said you can also gain atma with that Abysite but you must have the Periapt of Emergence (similar to lunar abysites to use atmacite Cost 50k coure). Now the difference is Atmacite is like the soul of a mob that you fight so you gain abilities of the mob. This is the way the npc explains it. you can hold 5 atmacites at once they are changeable though. You will find the npcs near the signet guy in your past nation.
Periapt'sPeriapt's so far that i have found come in two forms Periapt of percipience and Periapt of guidance. Minus the one i listed earlier these two are special. The first one basically is like your abysite that tells you what to proc but it is for magic only. The other one is for melee like weapon skills The message is a little different though so it will be vague when you get it so you need to pay attention. Both of these cost 150k coure each, but are well worth it. *New Info* There are multi periapt that come off of mobs Like the Bastok side has the timer reduction one. And the sandy side has the Temp items one. Now this might not seem like much now but lets be honest SE always puts out teasers so folks will get into it i can almost bet that this is just the start.
Cells Now there are cells that you can buy that cost 3k coure also. These are normal items that you hold in your inventory. I only got to test the Cobalt cell last night but from what i can see is this so far the Cobalt cell effected the Blue rate by 50%. So the way i can thus far is that it basically something you stack the odds for you before you start the fight. The way you do this is you trade it to the Displacement and that will allow you to pre stack the odds in your favor before starting the fight.
* Red - quality of drops - Rubicand cell +50%
* Blue - quantity of drops - Cobalt cell +50%
* Yellow - Exp - Xanthous cell +25%
* Green - Cruor - Jade cell +25%
* White - Atmacite/Periapt
BattleNow for the good part last night we did West Sarutabaruta S. The battle field isn't a new zone buffs carry over along with tp and the mob can be kited to some degree in a 30 min. battle system. Think ANM's. The mob we fought was a Chloris type mob same abilities as Chloris we were goofing off in a four man pt. It was fun until we got fatal screamed and died. But we did learn a few things if no one has hate on the mob it will lose interest and depop and it can be ran around for a small distance. From what i can tell so far these fights are just like Vnm. They pop and you kill and from what i gathered from the npc you need to change your abysite like a VNM.
Just remember this is all new stuff so this info might change this is just my first findings. Also if you have anything to add let me know i will try my best to update as we go along.
